18003: Adamite and Gypsum - Was $38 Now $19 Ojuela Mine, MapimÃ, Mapimà Municipality, Durango, Mexico Cabinet - 9.9 x 6.4 x 6.4 cm 342 grams Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order Abundant, glistening, greenish-brown
(included) adamite is associated with colorless gypsum
needles to almost 1 cm in length. The adamite fluoresces
green, brightly under shortwave UV and less so under
longwave. The adamite/gypsum association is uncommon at
the Ojuela Mine;
of the 1016 Ojuela Mine
adamite photos and 17 Ojuela Mine
gypsum photos hosted at Mindat, only 8 feature this
combination. Could be trimmed to about half-size to
emphasize the adamite/gypsum patch, but some less
consequential adamite would be lost. No damage.
