18702: Mimetite and Cerussite - $10 Plaka Mine No. 145, Plaka Mines, Plaka, Lavrion District, Lavreotiki, East Attica, Attica, Greece Miniature - 4.4 x 3.9 x 2.5 cm 44 grams Specimen status: Reserved What does Reserved mean? Send an email with specimen number to order Vugs and voids in a dark brown iron
hydroxide/oxide matrix host numerous small but lustrous
orange to orange-brown mimetite crystals. Several
colorless cerussite crystals clusters are also present.
Most of the mimetites are transparent. The cerussites
are translucent to opaque. Although the mimetites and
cerussite are all rather small (up to a few mm in size)
the specimen is excellent for exploration with hand
lens, microscope lens, and camera lens (more so than my
lousy photos suggest).
