19676: Hemimorphite - Was $12 Now $6 San Antonio Mine, East Camp, Santa Eulalia Mining District, Aquiles Serdán Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico Miniature - 4.4 x 3.1 x 3.1 cm 43 grams Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order This specimen is composed of two
hemimorphite generations, the first of which is tightly
intergrown blades (producing a carpet of terminations)
having a soft blue-green color (the color is a bit darker
than my lousy photos suggest). Where cleaved at the
specimen edges, a radial growth pattern is obvious. The
second hemimorphite generation appears as water-clear,
colorless blades to a few mm in length, abundant over the
first generation. A few spots of the second generation
growth have some incomplete crystals, but overall
condition is nice. Somewhat unusual for the
species/locality.
