translucent, light frosted quartz points a lustrous, 1.2
cm sphalerite crystal. The largest quartz crystal
measures 5.2 cm in length. Also present are several
clusters of small and opaque to transparent and classy,
colorless to light lilac fluorite crystals, having
beveled edges. Sphalerite is fairly rare- especially in
distinct crystals - at this locality; of the 1770
Yaogangxian Mine mineral specimen photos at Mindat
only twenty include
sphalerite. Overall condition is quite good.
