21832: Pyrite - Was
$16 Now $8 Ross County, Ohio Miniature - 4.1 x 3.5 x 3.2 cm 100 grams Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order A roughly spherical pyrite specimen
is composed of crystals having a variety of forms. In
some cases this material is said to be a pseudomorph
after marcasite, but I don't see any obvious evidence of
relict marcasite crystal shapes here. This particular
example is bright and brassy, free of damage. The
locality for these specimens is only rarely more precise
than "Ross County".
