23414: Fluorapatite, Arsenopyrite, and
Muscovite - Was $24 Now
$10 Panasqueira Mines, Covilhã, Castelo Branco, Portugal Miniature - 6.1 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm 82 grams Fluorescent (SW) Specimen status: Reserved Send an email with specimen number to order This specimen is dominated by a
translucent, 2.1 cm green fluorapatite crystal. This main
fluorapatite crystal, as well as the other, smaller
fluorapatites present, all have good terminations and
yellow-green fluorescence under shortwave UV. Arsenopyrite
is also abundant, as a few bright and complete crystals,
but mostly in massive form. Muscovite rosettes complete
this classic Panasqueira Mines
ensemble. The display face is in very nice condition, but
the usual edge issues are present. Sits perfectly for
display without needing a stand.
