23488: Gypsum - Was
$14 Now $7 Billy Creek State Wildlife Area, Eldredge, Montrose/Ouray Counties, Colorado Small cabinet - 6.2 x 2.9 x 2.4 cm 39 grams Fluorescent (SW) Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order A complete gypsum crystal with very
good form and high translucency. Fairly bright, white
shortwave UV fluorescence. Very fine condition, surprising
considering the softness (Mohs 2) for this species.
Probably rather uncommon for the locality; Mindat has just
17 mineral photos (none of gypsum) for this locality.
A very good gypsum single crystal for Colorado, a state not
known for great examples of this species.
