Patches of opaque, red realgar on opaque, silky ulexite. The realgar has been partly converted to orange pararealgar (not orpiment as is widely believed), but pure patches of unaltered realgar can most likely be found by breaking the specimen apart. Specimens having this association are now much harder to find since the dumps have been off limits to collecting for 15 years or so.
