Not the prettiest gypsum specimen available, but a novelty for the locality. Silky, striated texture. Appears to have grown in a seam, presumably in a semi-arid area. Some time ago, a dealer was selling gypsum from Pakistan, claiming it to be beryllonite. Although I see the resemblance of this material to true beryllonite in photos, this is definitely gypsum, as it is softer than a fingernail (Mohs hardness: gypsum = 2; beryllonite = 5.5-6).
