A dark brown, beautifully formed almandine garnet crystal, about 4 mm in size, sits on a bed of tiny, sparkling quartz crystals, which in turn line a pocket in rhyolite matrix. Could be trimmed to small miniature or maybe even a thumbnail without loss. Displays perfectly as is. No damage. A classic garnet locality.
