31646: Pyrite - Was
$150 Now $40 Bou Nahas Mine, Oumjrane Mining Area, Alnif, Alnif County, Tinghir Province, DrĂ¢a-Tafilalet, Morocco Large cabinet - 17 x 10.5 x 7 cm 774 grams Specimen status: Reserved What does Reserved mean? Send an email with specimen number to order This specimen began as a thick
coating of brassy, polycrystalline, botryoidal pyrite in
a cavity. It was subsequently removed from the cavity,
resulting in the distorted tortilla shell shape you see
here. On the back we see minor white barite blades, plus
some dull marcasite (or maybe a cast of pyrite after
marcasite). An interesting piece, and free of damage.
