32819: Wulfenite and Calcite - Was $10 Now $4 Glove Mine, Cottonwood Canyon, Tyndall Mining District, Santa Cruz County, Arizona Miniature - 2.9 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm 14 grams Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order A friable, dark matrix ball hosts a
partial coating of wulfenite, which has been completely
encased in colorless, sparkling calcite. The calcite
only partly covered the matrix, and the wulfenite layer
is most visible where the calcite is incomplete. (The
specimen has a 'bald head'.) Might possibly be carefully
trimmed to a true thumbnail. More of a novelty than a
pretty mineral specimen, but a bit unusual as well.
