Fluorite and Sphalerite - Sold
Cave in Rock, Illinois - Kentucky Fluorspar District, Hardin County,
Illinois
5.6 x 4.2 x 3.2 cm (2.2 x 1.7 x 1.3 inches)
A fluorite cube set on a carpet of small sphalerite crystals. The
fluorite is highly transparent, 1.3 cm along its edge, and either light
blue or light purple depending upon the light source. It sits among
many bright, lustrous sphalerite crystals, all on a massive sphalerite
matrix. A pretty specimen as is, but removing some of the sphalerite
matrix could convert this to a outstanding miniature. Very minor edge
wear on the fluorite does not detract.

Illinois
4.5 x 3.4 x 2.8 cm (1.8 x 1.3 x 1.1 inches)
Even though it is not a cube, this fluorite is nearly complete. The

detached and rehealed. The color is deep purple or deep blue,
depending upon the light source. Accented with a 2 cm wide cluster of
white barite blades on one edge. Minor edge wear.

Adamite and Gypsum - $45
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
8.5 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm (3.3 x 2.6 x 1.4 inches)
A limonite matrix hosts a rich covering of light green, hemispherical
adamite clusters to about 1.2 cm in diameter. (The color is not dingy
brown as the pictures on my computer show.) Also present are
numerous, colorless gypsum needles to about 8 mm. One of the better
examples of this unusual association that I have seen. Sits well for
display without a stand.

Vivianite - $230
Tomokoni Mine, Machacamarca District, Potosi Department, Bolivia
12.9 x 4.0 x 3.6 cm (5.1 x 1.6 x 1.4 inches)
An absolute monster
vivianite from the recent finds! Completely
transparent in some spots and opaque in others. Terminations are
slightly bruised, but this is excusable given the enormity of this
piece. I've handled many of these Bolivian vivianites, and only a few
were even half the size of this massive and glassy crystal!
