Wulfenite and Mimetite - $12
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
6.9 x 5.6 x 3.2 cm (2.7 x 2.2 x 1.3 inches)
Green-brown mimetite balls and blocky wulfenite crystals on a porous
limonite matrix. The largest group of mimetite balls is 6 mm, and the
largest wulfenite is 4 mm. The wulfenites are glassy, yellow, nearly
transparent and a few are nearly cubic. One mimetite-wulfenite group at
the edge has some damage, but the rest of the specimen is pristine. A
classic Ojuela combination.

A cluster of butterscotch orange mimetite crystals on matrix. The
mimetite crystals reach 5 mm in length. Minor contacts and damage
around the edges.

A cluster of rhodochrosite crystals to 1 cm with a scattering of small
quartz and pyrite crystals. These rhodochrosite crystals are larger but
darker than the other Wuton Mine rhodochrosite specimens on this page.
Shortwave UV light reveals the presence of several fluorapatite
crystals that reach about 2 mm length. China has only begun to produce
collectible rhodochrosite in the past year or so, and already the
quality and prices are equal to Sweet Home rhodochrosites.

has a complete termination. Its green color is most obvious when

A nice little plate of colorless Tsumeb calcites on matrix. The largest
crystal is about 7 mm across. A must for every calcite or Tsumeb
collection.
