10.7 x 7.5 x 6.1 cm (4.2 x 3.0 x 2.4 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A large, slightly bent, opaque, black dravite crystal from the famous Australian locality. Weighs about 800 grams, and has good luster. The top termination is complete, and consists of many intergrown tourmaline needles, giving it a thatched roof appearance. Minor muscovite. A few small contacts and chips are noted, but the specimen is free of major damage.

11663:
Goethite cast after Gypsum
Santa Eulalia District, Mun. de Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico

Specimen status: Sold

A matte gray, bubbly goethite that was once adjacent to a large gypsum crystal. At some point the gypsum dissolved away, leaving the striated cast behind. A good cabinet sized example of this classic epimorph. No damage.

Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia
6.8 x 5.1 x 4.8 cm (2.7 x 2.0 x 1.9 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

Brazil
3.3 x 2.7 x 2.7 cm (1.3 x 1.1 x 1.1 inches)

Specimen status: Sold

Opaque, light beige woodhouseite crystals cover one face of a massive to crystalline, opaque quartz matrix. Individual woodhouseite crystals reach 4 mm. (5-6 mm is considered large for the species.) A good example from the woodhouseite type locality.

11973:
