A
large slab of tiger's eye with golden brown color and good silky

chalcedony and amphibole layers. The slab has been sawn and given an

A large sphalerite cluster, sprinkled
with chalcopyrites, sits at the top of a cherty matrix. The sphalerite
cluster measures 6.9 cm across, and has a pleasing resinous luster. The
bright chalcopyrites are arranged in a roughly parallel manner, and
reach about 4 mm. The matrix could be trimmed if desired, although it
makes a nice pedestal when displayed with a stand. A small cleaved area
along the edge of the sphalerite cluster does not detract; otherwise no
damage. A fine example that displays well.
