9352:
Stilbite - $8   Reduced to $7
Harbourville, Bay of Fundy, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada
5.3 x 5.3 x 5.0 cm (2.1 x 2.1 x 2.0 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

An opaque but lustrous stilbite crystal group rises 4.6 cm above the matrix. The base and main crystal faces are decorated with many smaller stilbites. A very good example from the classic Canadian zeolite locality. No damage.

9418:
Adamite - $24   Reduced to $21
Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
9.7 x 5.8 x 2.3 cm (3.8 x 2.3 x 0.9 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A flat limonite matrix is covered with a rich carpet of light green adamite crystals. Strong green fluorescence under shortwave UV (second picture). Most of the crystals appear to be naturally etched (which is why this is not a more expensive specimen), but otherwise no damage.

9450:
Chalcocite - $25   Reduced to $22
Flambeau Mine, Ladysmith, Rusk County, Wisconsin
4.9 x 3.2 x 2.8 cm (1.9 x 1.3 x 1.1 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

From a mine famous for the best chalcocite in North America comes this cluster of intergrown, iridescent chalcocite crystals with a tarnished bronze color and luster. Incomplete crystals in some spots, but not an issue at this price.

9476:
Quartz (variety Amethyst) - $120   Reduced to $88
Iraí, Alto Uruguai region, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
18.0 x 17.5 x 4.6 cm (7.1 x 6.9 x 1.8 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A large plate of light purple, intergrown amethyst crystals. The amethysts are transparent to translucent, and the largest distinct crystal is 4.7 cm long. The specimen has an interesting slightly curved, wavy appearance. This specimen doesn't have the strongest amethyst color, but it has good size and aesthetics. Plenty of strange growth features which might be mistaken for damage, but only two or three small tips are actually missing.

10323:
Hematite - $20   Reduced to $10
Bouse District, Yuma County, Arizona
3.8 x 2.4 x 2.2 cm (1.5 x 0.9 x 0.9 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A stack of bright hematite crystal plates. Contacted on the base and back, but no significant damage.

10345:
Barite - $24   Reduced to $12
Meikle Mine, Bootstrap District, Elko County, Nevada
5.4 x 5.2 x 4.8 cm (2.1 x 2.0 x 1.9 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A cluster of glassy, translucent to transparent, tabular barite crystals. Color ranges from colorless to tan due to smoky, wispy inclusions. The barite crystals reach 2.8 cm along the edge, and some edgewear is present.

10979:
Rhodochrosite and Quartz - $175   Reduced to $157
Sweet Home Mine, Alma District, Park County, Colorado
13.5 x 10.8 x 6.0 cm (5.3 x 4.3 x 2.4 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

About a dozen pink to red rhodochrosite crystals on and in a matrix of quartz crust and needles. The rhodochrosites are opaque to translucent, reach 1.3 cm across, with mostly natural crystal faces. More crystals might be revealed by careful removal of more quartz. Minor fluorite also present. Sawn edges and back (as commonly necessary for specimen extraction when the matrix is tough), but this do not detract.

11182:
Copper, Cavansite, Prehnite, and Mordenite - $100   Reduced to $90
Wagholi Quarry, Pune District, Maharashtra, India
5.2 x 4.5 x 2.1 cm (2.0 x 1.8 x 0.8 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

This very unusual specimen features three deep blue cavansite crystal groups to 1.6 cm on a foamy matrix of prehnite sticks and mordenite hairs. Also present are hundreds of tiny, bright copper crystals! (The copper has been confirmed by XRD.) I've examined hundreds (if not thousands) of cavansites, but I've never seen this association before. No damage.

11195:
Vanadinite - $40   Reduced to $32
Mibladen, Midelt, Khénifra Province, Morocco
4.3 x 4.1 x 2.4 cm (1.7 x 1.6 x 0.9 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

Largest distinct crystal face is 1.7 cm across. Brick-red to brown colors. Good three-dimensionality. I like this one because of the cavernous cliff face appearance in the third picture.

11196:
Vanadinite - $40   Reduced to $32
Mibladen, Midelt, Khénifra Province, Morocco
4.2 x 3.6 x 2.5 cm (1.8 x 1.4 x 1.0 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

Largest distinct crystal face is 2.0 cm across. Brick-red to brown colors. Good three-dimensionality.

11322:
Hemimorphite and Mimetite - $18   Reduced to $14
Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
8.4 x 7.1 x 6.3 cm (3.3 x 2.8 x 2.5 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

Colorless to light brown, translucent to transparent hemimorphite blades on limonite matrix. The hemimorphites reach about 1.5 cm in length, and most are terminated. Scattered about are a few balls of yellow mimetite, reaching 3 mm diameter.

11323:
Hemimorphite and Mimetite - $18   Reduced to $14
Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
10.5 x 7.9 x 5.0 cm (4.1 x 3.1 x 2.0 inches)
