A flat limonite matrix is covered with a
rich carpet of light green adamite crystals. Strong green fluorescence
under shortwave UV (second picture). Most of the crystals appear to be
naturally etched (which is why this is not a more expensive specimen),
but otherwise no damage.

Quartz (variety Amethyst) - $120 Reduced to $88

A large plate of light
purple, intergrown amethyst crystals. The amethysts are transparent to
translucent, and the largest distinct crystal is 4.7 cm long. The
specimen has an interesting slightly curved, wavy appearance. This
specimen doesn't have the strongest amethyst color, but it has good
size and aesthetics. Plenty of strange growth features which might be
mistaken for damage, but only two or three small tips are actually
missing.

Rhodochrosite and Quartz - $175 Reduced

Sweet Home Mine, Alma District, Park County, Colorado

About a dozen pink to red
rhodochrosite crystals on and in a matrix of quartz crust and needles.
The rhodochrosites are opaque to translucent, reach 1.3 cm across, with
mostly natural crystal faces. More crystals might be revealed by
careful removal of more quartz. Minor fluorite also present. Sawn edges
and back (as commonly necessary for specimen extraction when the matrix
is tough), but this do not detract.

This very unusual
specimen features three deep blue cavansite crystal groups to 1.6 cm on
a foamy matrix of prehnite sticks and mordenite hairs. Also present are
hundreds of tiny, bright copper crystals! (The copper has been
confirmed by XRD.) I've examined hundreds (if not thousands) of
cavansites, but I've never seen this association before. No damage.
