11327:
Mimetite, Wulfenite, and Calcite - $45   Reduced to $36

26.0 x 15.5 x 8.0 cm (10.2 x 6.1 x 3.1 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A generous carpet of deep green mimetite balls on limonite matrix. Accented with minor yellow, tabular wulfenites to 5 mm, plus a liberal sprinkling colorless calcites to 5 mm.

11339:
Mimetite - $100   Reduced to $81
Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
28 x 23 x 11 cm (11.0 x 9.1 x 4.3 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

Deep green mimetite balls to about 5 mm cover much of the front face of the limonite matrix. Stands without help as shown in the first picture.  Lots of green, and lots of specimen!

11829:
Calcite - $10   Reduced to $9
Reynolds County, Missouri
8.1 x 7.1 x 4.4 cm (3.2 x 2.8 x 1.7 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A group of terminated, yellow-brown, parallel, translucent calcite crystals. A few scattered bruises, but these are inconsequential at this price.

12007:
Actinolite-Tremolite (Asbestiform) - $12   Reduced to $10
Eagle District, Colorado
15.0 x 2.1 x 1.1 cm (5.9 x 0.8 x 0.4 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A long specimen of actinolite-tremolite (exact composition undetermined), with distinctly fibrous (asbestiform) habit (third picture). The fiber size is too large to present a health hazard, but if you are concerned, store it in a plastic bag.

12011:
Goethite pseudomorph after Pyrite - $25   Reduced to $22
Pelican Point Quarry, Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah
11.0 x 9.0 x 6.3 cm (4.3 x 3.5 x 2.5 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

From the classic Pelican Point locality comes this large cluster of pyrite cubes, replaced (with good attention to detail) by submetallic goethite. The largest distinct cube measures 2.7 cm along the edge. The specimen could use a little cleaning and some damage is noted; hence the price. Sits for display as shown without need for a stand.

12018:
Gypsum - $20   Reduced to $18
near Spur, Dickens County, Texas
17.5 x 6.5 x 5.3 cm (6.9 x 2.6 x 2.1 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

An elongated cluster of tan gypsum 'rosettes', rendered translucent to opaque by inclusions of sand. The largest individual crystal is 4.3 cm across. Fluoresces green under shortwave UV, with brief phosphorescence after the UV is removed. A few scattered cleaves, but overall in quite good condition for such a soft mineral, especially given this came from a 50 year old collection.

12020:
Fluorite, Galena, Sphalerite, and Calcite - $10   Reduced to $9
Joplin Field, Tri-State District, Jasper County, Missouri
11.2 x 10.6 x 6.5 cm (4.4 x 4.2 x 2.6 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A heavily etched calcite matrix hosts a 3.5 cm wide mineralized patch of sugary galena, transparent and nearly colorless fluorites, and a few tiny sphalerites. Scattered damage to the fluorites. The calcite texture is interesting.

12022:
Sphalerite, Fluorite, and Barite - $16   Reduced to $14
Cave in Rock, Illinois - Kentucky Fluorspar District, Hardin County, Illinois
11.8 x 8.6 x 4.8 cm (4.6 x 3.4 x 1.9 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Click here to order

A roughly crystalline sphalerite matrix with some highly lustrous, resinous patches hosts scattered, mostly etched yellow and purple fluorite crystals. A second generation of small, yellow sphalerite adds sparkle. The bottom has a carpet of small, wafer-thin, white to colorless barite crystals.

12032:
Quartz - $24   Reduced to $21
