This stout and stubby beryl starts as cloudy and white at the base, and transitions to a light and translucent to transparent aquamarine color towards the termination. The termination itself is complex, with many open columns descending into the beryl (these appear to be parallel growths and not etch patterns). The descent of these caverns into the beryl provides a silky appearance. The matrix is feldspar decorated with scattered, tiny tourmaline crystals. Displays quite nicely as shown due to the natural base. Overall in quite nice condition for the price.
