This bicolor beryl crystal has a peach colored core surrounded by a colorless outer zone. When viewed through a crystal face the specimen is highly translucent due to a light natural etching of the crystal faces, except for the termination face which is glassy and not etched. This etching also adds a pleasing surface texture. Also notable is the tourmaline inclusion which end at the front crystal face. Close examination reveals that this tourmaline was partially dissolved as the beryl grew.  The back and bottom are incomplete where the specimen was removed from matrix, but this is not an issue when the specimen is displayed as shown. Minor edge chipping is also noted. Sits very nicely for display without needing a stand.
