The Okorusu Mine is famous for fluorites with great color and interesting phantoms. In this case the specimen is partly water-clear and colorless, and in other places colored by deep grape jelly purple phantoms. In some individual crystals the phantoms appear to be corners of other fluorite (long gone twins?; last photo) while in other areas the color zonation is more wispy. Regardless of origin, the colors are quite striking, especially when the specimen is illuminated from behind (second photo). Individual crystals are sharp and glassy, and reach 2.6 cm in size. Scattered, very tiny microchipping along some cube edges is barely visible under the hand lens, but otherwise no damage.  Has a previous dealer label with a $1000 price tag.
