ex Roy Foerster collection
Specimen status: Sold

Here we have a cluster of translucent to transparent fluorite cubes, with a light minty green color caused by a colorless outer zone laid over a green inner zone. (recall that fluorite color depends on the light source. This sample was photographed under white LED illumination, but the color may be somewhat different in your mineral cabinet, depending upon your light source.) Individual fluorite crystals reach 2 cm in size. Corners of the inner zone cubes have dark patches, appearing as 'eyes' in some of the individual crystals. In addition the specimen has a 3.7 cm, colorless and lightly frosted barite slab snuggled next to a quartz crystal cluster with individual crystals reaching about 1.3 cm. Overall condition is quite fine. Sits well for display on its acrylic base, which can easily be removed if desired. Complete all around. Other example of the wide variety of interesting fluorites produced by the Okorusu Mine.
