RF367: Fluorite
Xianghuapu Mine, Linwu County, Chenzhou, Hunan, China
Cabinet - 10.9 x 7.4 x 7.4 cm (4.3 x 2.9 x 2.9 inches)
Weight - 630 grams (1.39 pounds)
ex Roy Foerster collection
Specimen status: Sold

This specimen consists of a cluster of glassy, pleasantly light sea green and very water-clear fluorite cubes, the largest of which is 3.5 cm across. The fluorites are so clear that matrix is very visible beneath. The photos fail to fully capture this limpidness. Some minor edgewear is noted, but lost among the icy fluorites. Sits perfectly for display on its flat base. An outstanding Chinese fluorite for the price range!
