A cluster of glassy, slightly divergent black tourmaline needles whose terminations (if they exist) are shrouded in silvery muscovite. Although tourmaline species cannot be assigned by visual inspection, jet-black samples are almost invariably labeled as schorl (but could be dravite or foitite or very dark elbaite or...). Minor, transparent and lightly smoky quartz is also present. Very nice condition. A fine example for the locality.
