An X-shaped gypsum crystal rendered tan and opaque by sand inclusions. A penetration twin; although twinning is common in gypsum, penetration twins are fairly rare. A previous dealer label gives the location as the Great Salt Plains in Oklahoma, but the color of the inclusions clearly indicate this locality assignment is incorrect. Maybe Algeria or Tunisia...? Superb condition.
