A cleaved gypsum matrix, opaque to transparent (variety selenite) hosts abundant, subhedral to massive, black franklinite. Patches of bright orange fluorescence under shortwave UV reveals the presence of calcite. Ex Franklin Mineral Museum (label accompanies the specimen). A nice species/locality specimen.
