15565: Smithsonite and Adamite

Specimen status: Sold

Clefts in a gossan matrix host translucent gray botryoidal smithsonite, with individual mounds reaching about 5 mm diameter. Patches of microcrystalline adamite are also present, accompanied by a second generation of tiny smithsonite crystals, these having a rice grain shape. Very nice under the lens (hand, microscope, or camera). Sits for display as shown without needing a stand.
