This lot consists of 19 geode lot fragments, from the famous Iowa geode locality. Minerals present include quartz, calcite, gypsum, millerite, and pyrite. Most of the pieces are quite sparkly. Ten of the pieces can be reassembled to form five complete (or nearly complete) geodes. Individual pieces range from 4.2 cm to 10.7 cm in cross section, and 30 grams to 678 grams in weight. I especially like the pair shown in the second picture, featuring a sprinkling of white calcite crystals on a contrasting dark calcite background.
