A cluster of deep golden brown adamite crystals is spread across the central cleft of a limonite matrix. The adamite crystals are translucent, have glassy luster. Individuals reach almost 7 mm, and most are terminated. Their angles with respect to the matrix range from parallel to perpendicular. Ojuela Mine adamite fluorescence is attributed to UO22+ (uranyl cation) inclusions, which in this sample, are localized to a 1 cm spot near the center of the adamite crystal patch. Some incomplete crystals noted around the edges.
