A chuck of amorphous but reasonably lustrous uintahite, appearing similar to anthracite coal or black obsidian. Uintahite is an asphaltite, meaning a rock rich in bitumen. A specimen that should be in any species collection, locality collection, or organic minerals collection (but not in a beauty contest).
