| 04797: Stilbite, Tourmaline and Albite
variety Cleavelandite - $45 Jensen Quarry, Jurupa Mountains, Jurupa Valley, Riverside County, California Small cabinet - 6.2 x 4.9 x 3.7 cm 100 grams Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order A partial, opaque, green and black
tourmaline crystal hosts abundant,stilbite crystals
(reaching 1.4 cm and mostly doubly terminated) as well as
some platy albite (variety cleavelandite). The specimen is
certainly photogenically challenged, but because he
locality is now part of a golf course (with holes named after minerals!) and is
very off limits to collecting, material from this quarry
is rare on the mineral market.
