The pyrite on this specimen is found in two forms: striated cubes and distorted cubes to about 1.3 cm and replacements (pseudomorphs) after thin pyrrhotite crystals to 1 cm. Goethite replacements of prior pyrite crystal columns are abundant at the specimen base. A single, clear gypsum (variety selenite) crystal measuring 1.8 cm cm sits at the specimen apex. This interesting mineral association specimen is in very nice condition.
