A well-formed, water-clear gypsum
(variety selenite) crystal on a matrix of quartz points.
The quartz is only very pale purple and therefore not
deserving of the amethyst moniker. The gypsum is contacted
(where is grew across the vug) and has a few slight rubs
but is otherwise in very nice condition.
