A large, admittedly unassuming plate of opaque, lenticular calcite crystals partially coated with, and included by, colorless, botryoidal opal-AN. The opal glows a brilliant neon green under both longwave UV (blacklight) and shortwave UV. Calcite and opal-AN are both rare at the locality (or at least rarely collected) and this is a significant specimen for both species at the locality: Of the 305 Topaz Mountain specimen photos at Mindat, none include calcite and only four include opal-AN. I collected this specimen in September of 2004.
