A glassy, lightly frosted, red brown spessartine garnet crystal is partially overgrown by a tabular, colorless fluorapatite crystal. This fluorapatite glows a brilliant lemon yellow under shortwave UV. The garnet is complete all around with no obvious point of attachment to matrix, whereas the apatite has minor edgewear and one small area which may have been a point of attachment. An interesting association specimen, in fine condition overall.
