A generous handful to typical Topaz Mountain topaz specimens, all rhyolite included to some extent. Most have one termination (the longest at 4 cm has two) and most retain their desirable brown color. I collected these specimens by digging a hole at the base of a bush and screening. Two days' screening yielded almost 3 kg of topaz. This lot is very typical of the material one can expect to find without expending the significant effort to break the unaltered rhyolite.
