A well-terminated, glassy, dark brown dravite crystal, mostly opaque but with some translucency towards the termination. Minor quartz near the nonterminated end. Most tourmaline species cannot be assigned visually but the label of previous dealer - very knowledgeable in Pakistan minerals - labels this as dravite. The color is consistent with this assignment as well. The aforementioned previous dealer label carries a $675 price tag. Incomplete where removed from matrix (at the narrow base) otherwise this fine tourmaline wand is in superb condition.
