A glassy, jet black terminated tourmaline crystal. Although the precise tourmaline species cannot be determined visually, a previous label from a dealer very knowledgeable in Pakistan minerals calls this schorl so I will defer to his expertise. In addition, many black tourmalines are labeled as schorl regardless of chemical analysis (or absence thereof). This tourmaline wand is complete all around (except at the base where detached from matrix) and in superb condition. The aforementioned previous dealer label carries a $250 price tag.
