A 3.8 cm, translucent and lightly
frosted calcite crystal sits atop a matrix of transparent
gypsum (variety selenite). The calcite displays modest,
red fluorescence under both longwave UV (blacklight) and
shortwave UV. Minor and small but bright pyrite crystals
to a few mm are also present as well as a single 1.1 cm
quartz point.
