Sprays of opaque gypsum crystals, somewhat resembling a bow tie or a sheaf of wheat, and reaching 4.9 cm across, dominate the specimen. This gypsum style is uncommon outside of Cavnic. The round structure is a mound of brown dolomite crystals which have been deposited over a smaller, hollow mound of quartz (see backside photo). Very nice condition. Note: The white material is not calcite; it does not effervesce with dilute hydrochloric acid.
