A water-clear gypsum (variety selenite) specimen partially coated with abundant, white, crystalline hydrozincite. The gypsum is so clear that the hydrozincite is clearly visible from the other side of the specimen. The hydrozincite shows bright white fluorescence under both longwave UV (blacklight) and shortwave UV. The gypsum is incomplete (but not ragged) where it contacted other large gypsum crystals. A self standing specimen.
