Many collectors are familiar with specimens of bright, arborescent copper in clear gypsum from the Mission pit. This Mission pit specimen is unusual in that it is abundant sheet copper on an opaque gypsum matrix. The back side of the matrix displays bright orange fluorescence under shortwave UV.
