In 2013, a major pocket of quartz with adularia specimens were found at the Hamilton Hill Mine. The quality and size for this combination are not exceeded in North America. This example from the find is a single, terminated quartz crystal, slightly veiled at the base but gemmy and water clear at the termination. Scattered throughout within this quartz crystal are numerous, small (less than 2 mm) white and brown calcite inclusions. Near the termination are many hollow pockets where calcite crystals once were (negative crystal inclusions). The termination is pristine. One side is somewhat contacted, the the base has the usual base issues, but otherwise in very fine shape. Previous dealer label with a $80 price tag. Not your generic Arkansas quartz specimen.
