This is a cluster of quartz crystals with enough pale but distinct purple color to be called amethyst. The longest individual crystal measures 7.8 cm; its is doubly terminated but the terminations are contacted or interrupted. All of the crystals show a distinct Muzo habit (every alternate face parallel to the length of the crystal pinches to nothing as it approaches the end, resulting in a triangular instead of hexagonal termination; most evident in the last photo). All of the crystals have white inclusions at the base, but these fade away quickly, with very gemmy zones at the terminations. A few scattered chips are noted, mostly to the minor terminations, otherwise the specimen is in quite good condition.
