A patch of black, sparkling dufrénite microcrystals associated with brown jarosite. Typical association for the species/locality. And now for today's mineral chemistry lesson: dufrénite is a calcium mixed-valence iron phosphate hydroxide - Ca0.5Fe2+Fe3+5(PO4)4(OH)6·2H2O whereas jarosite is a potassium iron sulfate hydroxide - KFe3+3(SO4)2(OH)6.
