Abundant, dark green brown, mostly terminated childrenite-eosphorite crystals to about 1 cm on a feldspar matrix. Childrenite, an iron aluminum phosphate hydroxide - Fe2+Al(PO4)(OH)2·H2O and and its manganese analog eosphorite - Mn2+Al(PO4)(OH)2·H2O cannot be distinguished visually, although many specimens of these minerals are often labeled as one or the other without analytical evidence. This is a rather rich sample, with crystals easily seen by the naked eye (but also nice under magnification). Excellent condition.
