A thin plate composed mostly of pink inesite blades to about 5 mm, interspersed with less abundant, crusty to crystalline, brown hubeite. Hubeite is a globally rare calcium manganese iron sorosilicate - Ca2Mn2+Fe3+Si4O12(OH)ยท2H2O for which Mindat lists just three recorded localities, with the Fengjiashan Mine being the type locality. This material was once moderately abundant on the mineral market but specimens were quickly snatched up and are difficult to find now.
