Two undamaged, tabular benitoite crystals to 6.5 mm on a crossite matrix. These benitoites are rendered dark blue and opaque by crossite inclusions; these are often called 'stony'. As is typical for the species, they glow a bright bluish white under shortwave UV. The locality is closed and no new material is coming to market. This sample was prepared from a sample rescued from another dealer's trash pile!
