An 8 mm stony (crossite included), tabular and dark blue benitoite crystal on a matrix of crossite and rough neptunite. As is typical for the species, the benitoite fluoresces a bright bluish white under shortwave UV. The locality is closed and no new material is coming to market. This sample was prepared from a sample rescued from another dealer's trash pile!
