A complex, translucent to opaque quartz crystal with inclusions of colorless to light pink montmorillonite clay. The back is more complex than the flat, front face. This material is classic for the locality, and only rarely found at other (even close by) gem pegmatite mines in the Pala District. This sample is doubly terminated floater, in pristine condition. A must for the collector of quartz, of included crystals, or of San Diego County minerals.
